Biography
Dr. Ashish Kumar Chowdhary was born and brought up in a small town, Chittaranjan in West Bengal, famous for producing the largest number of electric locomotives. He completed his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya Chittaranjan and emerged as a school topper. To follow his dreams of becoming an engineer, he joined National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, where he received a B.Tech. degree with distinction in electronics and communication engineering in 2015. To explore the vibes of the telecom industry, he joined Ericsson India Global Services Pvt. Ltd. and worked as a Solution Integration Engineer between 2015 and 2017. Then to pursue his dreams of becoming a research scientist, he joined the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in 2017 as a dual degree (M.S. and Ph.D.) Research Scholar in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He successfully defended his doctoral thesis in May 2022 and graduated with the best thesis award medal.
After completing his PhD, Dr. Ashish moved to Singapore and joined the Nanyang Technological University as a Post-Doctoral Fellow to explore the exciting field of electronic-photonic integrated circuits for 6G THz communication devices. In June 2023, Dr. Ashish returned back to his motherland and joined the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
